I learned to play the piano fifteen years ago while working with computer-assisted music, using only samples; I wanted to create my own sounds with a MIDI keyboard.
That’s how my love for the piano began. I then completed a one-year music training program in 2014 at the CFPM in Toulouse to become a music teacher. After graduating, I taught piano lessons to students at the school where I work. But composition is my true passion.

Interview
How did you get started in music?
I discovered the possibility of making music as a teenager with a friend. We had fun playing around with sound loops on some old music software. We had no musical knowledge. Several years later, the desire to make music on a computer came back to me. From there, my brother lent me a MIDI synthesizer. And that’s how my love for the piano was born. About fifteen years later, I completed a one-year training program to become a piano teacher. Once I received my diploma, I began giving piano lessons to students at the school where I work.

• Who or what has influenced you the most on your musical journey?
I’ve always been surrounded by musicians. My father, my brother, my sister, my friends—there was always a guitar at parties to liven things up. So, my real influence comes from the people around me.
• What does your typical process look like, from the first idea to the finished track?
My creative process is simple—I don’t overthink it. I put my hands on the piano and see what comes out.
. My goal is to evoke emotion; if I don’t achieve that goal, the song will never be released. (These are, of course, my own criteria.)
I really love collaborations, which allow me to step outside my usual musical framework.

• What do you enjoy outside of making music?
Aside from music, I like spending time with the people I love and having a good time with them.
• Can you tell us more about creating the song “Take Me”?
This track was created entirely around the vocals; the piano, though very simple, is the backbone of the song—it’s what gives it movement and life. The pad and the brass have a darker, more mysterious side to them.
But then again, I don’t force the creative process; it just comes naturally when the time is right.
