Klangfarben
Klangfarben is a Beatmaker and Producer from Kassel, Germany.
He combines melodic elements from Classic, Jazz and Soul with Boombap Drums and Lofi Aesthetics.
He is influenced by the early German HipHop-Scene, but also by US-Artists like Black Star, Cypress Hill, Gang Starr, Nas and the Fugees.
All Beats are made on Samplers.

Interview
How did you get started in music?
I‘ve started in 2000 as a Rapper. I never mind to become a Beatmaker, but we needed some Beats, so I started producing. And this became my passion.
• Who or what has influenced you the most on your musical journey?
DJ Premier and DJ Muggs were a big inspiration in the first place. Later I heard a lot of stuff from Hitek, J Dilla, 9th Wonder, Madlib and Alchemist. Also Freundkreis and Beginner from Germany.
In the Corona Pandemic I‘ve listened a lot to the Lofi-Girl YouTube Channel.
• What tool/software do you use the most in your production – do you have a favorite sampler or effect that you always include?
I use an MPC most of the time. On the go I like to use my OP-XY. But I tried a lot of Samplers. I do the most of my Mixing on the Samplers. I just Master in Ableton. And use sometimes Logic for Stem Separation.
• What do you enjoy outside of making music?
I enjoy time with family and friends. And I play soccer.
