How did you get started in music?
I first got into music at a young age by experimenting with piano and later producing beats on my computer. What started as simple curiosity quickly turned into a passion for creating and exploring different sounds. Over time, I began to develop my own style and share my work, which eventually led me to take music more seriously as both an art form and a way of expression.
• Who or what has influenced you the most on your musical journey?
My influences come from very different places and eras. Growing up, I had a period where I was a big fan of Black Eyed Peas, which was probably my first real connection to popular music. Later on, classical composers like Stravinsky inspired me with their bold harmonic ideas, while jazz legends like Bill Evans showed me the beauty of subtlety and emotion in music. On the lofi side, artists like dpsht had a huge impact on how I approach atmosphere and texture in my own productions. Altogether, these influences shaped the way I create and helped me find my own voice.
• What does your typical process look like, from the first idea to the finished track?
My process usually starts with a simple idea—sometimes it’s a chord progression on the piano, sometimes just a texture or rhythm that catches my ear. From there, I build around it, layering melodies, harmonies, and subtle details to create depth. I like to let the track evolve naturally, so I often take breaks and come back with fresh ears to see what the song really needs. Once the arrangement feels right, I focus on dynamics, small variations, and final touches that make the track feel alive. For me, it’s less about rushing to finish and more about letting the piece slowly take shape until it feels complete.
• What do you enjoy outside of making music?
Outside of music, I enjoy building Lego sets—it’s a relaxing and creative way to clear my mind. From time to time I also get into Minecraft, where I can just lose myself in creating and exploring. On weekends, I like going for runs in the forest; being surrounded by fresh air and greenery really helps me reset and find balance. And of course, spending quiet moments with my cats is something I always cherish.
• Can you tell us more about creating the song “miles away”?
I created “Miles Away” together with my close friend Sourpuff. He recently moved to Berlin, so that inspired the title. Even though we’re miles apart, it’s amazing to still be able to make music together—it really shows the power of collaboration.
